In 1855 Abner Fish (my gggg-grandfather) and his family along with my ggg-grandparents (Joseph and Beulah Fish Weinhart) traveled from Monroe County, Pennsylvania to Dallas County, Iowa. According to a statement Beulah made at her 90th birthday party they traveled to Davenport, Iowa by train and by wagon to Dallas County. The map shows the railroad system for the northern part of the United States in 1855. According to this the only route to Davenport was through Chicago.  ¶ 9:36 AM
