Evan Young was born in 1823 in Pennsylvania. He is either the brother of my ggg-grandmother Mary B.C. Young or the brother of her husband John S. Young. I have always placed him in the family tree as Mary's brother. I have changed my mind and I am going to place him as John's brother. When Mary's mother died in 1868 her property was divided up by her children and sold to the same buyer. Evan was not one of the names of the children who inherited property. Based on this I am going to assume for now that Evan is John's brother. The picture shows Evan's family in the 1885 Kansas census.  ¶ 4:22 PM
