In the 1850 Indiana census John and Mary Young and family were living/staying with Mary's brother Evan and his family in Fall Creek Township in Madison County. John had bought a farm earlier in the year in Tipton County. The question is why were John and Mary living/staying with Evan instead of on their farm at this time. In 1850 there was a Cholera epidemic in Indiana and in Tipton County it was very bad. Could it be that John had brought his family to Evan's farm because the epidemic was not as bad there as it was around their farm in Tipton County.  ¶ 9:54 AM
