1863 was a sad year for my gggg-grandmother Elizabeth Young. The year started out with two of her sons dying in the Civil War both in Tennessee. James died of wounds suffered in battle in January and her youngest child John died of disease a month later. Elizabeth had two one year-old grandchildren who were twins. They were the children of Ellis and Jane Young. One was a boy Isaac and the other was a girl Sarah. Isaac died in September of 1863 and Sarah died in November of that year.
