My g-grandfather Sjur Markuson and his wife Ingeborg were early members of the Norwegian Hauge Lutheran Church located outside of Kenyon, in Goodhue County, Minnesota. It was formed in the late 1850's. There was a second Norwegian Lutheran Church in the area, the Gol Lutheran Church which one of my other g-grandparents (Erik and Astrid Gunhus) went to. The article in the picture gives a short history of the origin of the Hauge Church.
The picture shows some facts (statistics) from the year 1909. If my figuring is correct all four of my grandparents were alive at that time along with six g-grandparents, five gg-grandparents, and four ggg-grandparents. Of the eighteen eleven were female and eight were male.
