The picture shows the Naturalization Paper for Fredrick Ellingson that he received in 1894 while living in Cavalier County, North Dakota. Notice that his Declaration of Intent for Citizenship was made in 1876 in Freeborn County, Minnesota. Also notice that Halvor Olsen was one of the two people who signed their names to the paper indicating his acceptability in becoming a citizen of the United States. I am sure that Halvor would have been his son-in-law (Fredrick's daughter Gjertrud's husband) who was mentioned in the previous entry of Wednesday October 22.
