The picture is of John Edward Meader and his wife Emma Ann Meader (maiden name was Young) and their family. John was born in Henry County, Ohio in 1848 and Emma was born in Tipton County, Indiana in 1851. They met and married in Polk County, Iowa in the later half of the 1860's. During their marriage they lived in three different states. These were Iowa, Kansas, and Minnesota. Emma's ggg-granddaughter, my Mother, and her husband ended up moving to Elwood, Indiana in 1948 from Minnesota. Elwood is only about 10 miles from where Emma was born though we didn't realize it until about 60 years later.  ¶ 1:26 PM
