The only two ancestors I know of who voted for a particular political party throughout their voting lives are my grandfather Joseph Marcuson and my gg-grandfather Lorenzo Weinhart. My Dad growing up on the family farm remembers his father, Joseph, as always being a devout Republican. Lorenzo was twice the Republican mayor for the city of Ankeny, Iowa. From 1940 to 1954 while living in California he was registered as a Republican. The picture shows him registered as a Republican in 1940.  ¶ 12:23 PM
