The picture shows a birthday card sent by my g-grandmother (Elsie Weinhart Meader) to her grandaughter (my mother). My mother believes it was sent in 1944. The date received would be have been towards the end of January. My mother was living and working in Des Moines, Iowa at the time and g-grandmother Meader was living in Albert-Lea, Minnesota. G-grandmother Meader mentions that she was lonely because her husband was visiting relatives in Indiana and that her arthritis was making writing difficult.  ¶ 2:56 PM
