The picture shows my g-grandfather's farm in the lower right hand corner. His name is Sever Markusson (spelled Marckuson on the map). It shows that his farm was known as the Dyrdal farm. Dyrdal is the name of the farm he grew up on in Norway. What caught my attention though was the number of farms that had a name. For example there was a Willowood Park Farm, a Fernwood Farm, the Dokken Homestead Farm, and the Poplar Grove Farm. Another g-grandfather of mine who lived in the next county but only about a mile away from the Dyrdal farm called his farm the Gunhus Estates.  ¶ 10:24 AM
