My ggg-grandparents John S. Young and his wife Mary B.C. Young (they were cousins) are of special interest to me. For about six years they lived on a farm outside of Tipton, Tipton County, Indiana and then for about four more they lived in Tipton. This is only about ten miles from where I presently live and I have been able to pretty much reconstruct their ten years there using county records. The picture shows a timeline of John and Mary and those people associated with them from 1846 to 1861.

Hello - I am wondering if I'm related to a Young family linked to your own. My Great-great Aunt Rachel Pearsey (ca.1805-1881) married Jacob Young in 1826, Wayne Co. Indiana. Jacob was born September 22, 1790 in Pennsylvania. They lived in Rush County, 1850-60 where Jacob died. Afterward, Rachel Young took her children to Tipton, in Tipton Co. Indiana.

They had several children and one of them, James C. Young, b.1839, died 1905 in Atlanta, Hamilton County, Indiana and is buried in the Arcadia cemetery, the same as your Ellis E. Young. Young is a very common name but it's strange the families both lived in Wayne Co., Tipton, Indiana and Hamilton County, Indiana.
