After my gg-grandfather Asle Lien lost his homestead in Grainfield County he went up one county to Howell County where he homesteaded until he left in the mid-1900's to go live with his daughters in Goodhue County in Minnesota. In Howell County his homestead consisted of 160 acres in section 10 and 160 acres in section 11. I believe on this 1909 plat map of Howell County his land would be the two quarter sections with the name of Mrs. G. Finseth on them. I also believe this is Gunhild Finseth who was one of his daughter. This is the daughter he stayed with for his last few years in Goodhue County.
